Overisel Reformed Church provides a place, a time, an atmosphere, and the leadership for people to gather and be led in worship to our Holy God.

9:00 - 9:20       Prayer Time
9:30 - 10:40     Morning Worship

The principal items of worship include proclamation of the Word through sermon, scripture reading, prayers and congregational singing. Hymns are primary, but we also use many “praise and worship” songs. Our recently refurbished pipe organ is the central instrument. The piano is often used either in addition to the organ or by itself. Occasionally guitars and percussion are also used. Many times lay involvement is included through scripture readings, drama, special music, prayer, etc. People are quite willing to participate and this has become meaningful to us as a congregation. The pastor plans the service, but lay people are available to assist and organize in many ways when called on.

One of two choirs provides music for worship services at ORC. The Celebration Choir (adults) leads in worship on many Sundays. The Joyful Sounds Choir (grades 2-5) sing every six weeks. Pre-school age children through kindergarten are dismissed from the service around 10:00 for their own worship at Promise Land which continues on through the morning until 11:45, September through May.

10:40 - 11:00     Fellowship time in the Family Life Center
11:00 - 11:45     Sunday School – September through May
6:00 - 7:00         Evening Worship

This service is similar to the morning service but is more informal. Most often the pastor solicits prayer requests of praise and petition from the congregation before the Prayer of Intercession. The people readily share.
